District 2 - Lt. Andrew Eason (South County/Woodlands)
Man Arrested for Reckless Driving
On July 16, 4:12 a.m., Deputies D. Hernandez and S. Martin were contacted by off duty deputy J. Barber in reference to a suspicious vehicle in the area of Tableland Drive. Dep. Barber advised that he had heard glass breaking and tires squealing. At that time, Dep. Barber observed a red van driving recklessly at a high rate of speed. The van left the subdivision without its head lamps on. Dep. Barber followed the van in his personal vehicle and found it on Hummingbird Drive. He observed a man and woman exit the van. At this time, deputies Hernandez and Martin arrived. They made contact with the man who admitted that he had been driving the van. He was arrested for Reckless Driving, a class B misdemeanor.
Teen Arrested for Marijuana Possession
Sgt. J. Jenkins conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle with expired registration. While making contact with the male driver, 16, Sgt. Jenkins observed the male passenger, 16, attempting to conceal something. The odor of burned marijuana was coming from the interior of the vehicle. Cpl. J. Gonzales arrived and the driver and three passengers were asked to exit the vehicle. While searching the vehicle, clumps of marijuana were found on the floor where one of the juveniles was sitting, along with a clear plastic bag with trace amounts of marijuana. One male juvenile, 15, had a marijuana pipe in his possession and was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The driver was issued a citation for no DL, no insurance and expired registration. One male suspect, 16, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, class B misdemeanor.
District 6 - Lt. David Dottei (Town Center)
Two Arrested for Racing
On July 16, at 4:50 p.m., Sgt. B. Herring and Deputy D. LaSalle responded to a major vehicle accident at Lake Robbins and Grogans Mill Road. One vehicle had flipped several times. A female witness, 54, advised that she observed two vehicles driving over 80 mph and the lead vehicle lost control and hit the curbs and started flipping. It was determined through investigation and assistance of Deputy D. Houstoun that the minimum speed was 85 mph. Both drivers were arrested for Racing, class B misemeanor.
District VI deputies made 10 arrests for Theft/Shoplifting during the week of July 15 - uly 20.
District 1 - Lt. Darrel Conn (North County)
Mutliple Vehicle Burglaries
On July 10, Deputy Holcomb was dispatched to several residences in the 16,500 block of East Emerson, in Conroe, in reference to Burglary of Vehicles. After meeting with the complainants, it was discovered that several articles were taken from each of their unlocked vehicles as they sat in their driveways overnight. These cases have been referred to detectives for investigation.
Home Burglary
On July 10, Corporal Bonner was dispatched to the 5,000 block of North Pinebark, in Conroe, in reference to a Burglary of a Habitation. The complainant had left his locked house around 9:30 a.m., and when his wife came home at 12:30 p.m. she noticed that someone had been in their bedrooms and several items were missing. It was later determined that a rear door had been pried open to gain access to the home. Prints were taken and this case has been referred to detectives.
Four-Wheeler Stolen
On July 11, Deputy Buckner was dispatched to the 10,900 block of S. Williams Road, in Conroe, in reference to a theft of a green Honda Foreman four wheeler that was located behind the complainant's residence. This case has been referred to the Auto Theft Task Force.
Shell Station Door Damaged
On July 14, Corporal Bonner responded to an alarm at the Lake Conroe Marina Shell station. It was observed that the right front door had been shattered by a large rock but entry had not been made into the store. The store has a security system in place. This case has been referred to Detectives.
Copper Tubing Stolen
On July 14, Deputy Williams was dispatched to the 11,000 block of Pin Oak, in Conroe, in reference to a Copper Theft. The 74-year-old complainant advised that she had heard her water pump running at 3 a.m. At 8 a.m. she was notified by a neighbor that the copper tubing that had connected her water well and pump was missing. This case has been referred to detectives.
Electricity Shut-off
On July 18, Deputy Buckner was dispatched to the 12,900 block of FM 1485, in Conroe, in reference to a Theft of Service (electricity). The owner of the property called Entergy and reported her tenant stealing electricity. It was the second time for the Entergy Company to come to this location and shut off the electricity. The meter was so damaged from being pried open; it had to be replaced. The theft and service fee for this residence is approximately $519. The tenant was not on location. This case has been forwarded to Detectives.
DWI Arrest
On July 19, Deputy Degner was eastbound on 105E, near Crystal Forest, when he had to slam on his brakes to avoid a vehicle that had crossed the center stripe and came into his lane of traffic. The driver lost control at 105E and Whipporwill before Dep. Degner was able to make the traffic stop. The driver exited his vehicle and fled into the wooded area. After a short chase and sobriety tests, the driver was arrested for DWI and evading. This case is referred to the District Attorney's office for prosecution.
District 3 - Lt. Jim Fleming (East County)
Intoxicated Man Arrested at Convenient Store
On July 14, Deputy C. Murray was notified of a disturbance call at the Valero on FM 1314 and Sorters Road. Upon arrival, Dep. Murray observed a man causing a disturbance inside the store. The suspect was found to be intoxicated. The 46-year-old man from Splendora was arrested at 3:34 a.m. and transported to jail.
Two Teens Arrested for Gun Possession
On July 16, Deputy J. Amstutz was on patrol in the 22600 block of Hwy 59 when a vehicle was observed speeding. A traffic stop was conducted and as the driver was being questioned, Dep. Amstutz observed the passenger reaching under his shirt. The passenger was removed from the vehicle and searched. Dep. Amstutz located a Glock 40 cal pistol concealed in a vest pocket under the shirt. All serial numbers had been filed off the weapon. The weapon was loaded with eleven rounds of hollow point ammunition. The two men, ages 18 and 17, both from Houston, were arrested at 6:15 p.m. and transported to jail.
Teen Arrested for Marijuana
On July 17, Sgt. B. Welch, while conducting an investigation with the Fire Marshall's Office, went to the 23500 block of 3rd Street to locate several subjects involved in a felony case. Dep. Welch made contact with the homeowner who advised that there were several persons in his house that he did not know and were friends of his granddaughter. Dep. Welch made contact with a male that attempted to hide marijuana under the bed he was in. The large baggy was recovered. The 18-year-old man from New Caney was arrested at 4 p.m. and transported to jail.
Men Arrested for Intoxication and Possession
On July 17, Deputy G. Jackson was notified of a disturbance in the 25300 block of Lakeshore Drive. Two male subjects had left the scene and were located in the 14300 block of Lakeshore Drive. A 26-year-old male, from Splendora, was found to be intoxicated and a 46-year-old male, also from Splendora, was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Both suspects were arrested at 10:17 p.m. and transported to jail.
Fugitive Arrested during traffic stop
On July 18, Deputy R. Layman stopped a vehicle for speeding in the area of Hwy 242 and Summerset Estates. Four occupants were in the vehicle and were identified. The driver showed to have no drivers license. A further investigation was done and the driver was found to be a fugitive from justice with a warrant out of Montgomery County for theft by check. The man was also filed on for failure to identify as fugitive. The 25-year-old man from Conroe was arrested at 8:47 p.m. and transported to jail.
Intoxicated Woman Arrested with Marijuana
On July 19, Deputy K. Koonce was sent to the 22300 block of Farris Green in reference to a disturbance in progress. A woman had left the location and was found to be walking down the road. The woman appeared to be intoxicated. Dep. Koonce located a small amount of marijuana on the woman. The 41-year-old woman from Porter was arrested at 8:35 p.m. and taken to jail.
Woman Arrested for Possession Caught with Drugs in Jail
On July 19, Deputies C. Murray and G. Harman were dispatched to the 22400 block of Ford Road for a disturbance. Upon arrival at the No Tab Bar, the deputies observed a woman in the parking lot in a verbal argument with another person. She went inside the bar when she saw the deputies. The female was found to be intoxicated. She was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance and dangerous drug. The 20-year-old woman from New Caney was arrested at 9:36 p.m. and transported to jail. A search at the jail revealed the female had brought a dangerous drug into the jail. She was additionally charged with bringing a prohibited substance into a correctional facility.
Man Assaulted by Mother-in-law
On July 20, Deputy J. Guion responded to the 19200 block of Jenny Lane for a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, Dep. Guion was advised that the male complainant's mother-in-law had brought his children to his home. One of the children acted up upon arrival and the man disciplined him. The mother-in-law became belligerent and told the male he could not have the children. The male attempted to take the children out of the vehicle when the female slammed the car door on him. She bit him on the elbow and hit him on the head with a set of keys several times causing a cut. The 47-year-old woman from Spring, Texas was arrested at 11:30 p.m. and transported to jail.
Warrants served:
A 19-year-old man from Cleveland was arrested at 1:31 a.m., July 15, in the 21800 block of Hwy 59 by Deputy L. Ray for a terroristic threat warrant out of Liberty County. The Deputy was on a motor vehicle accident call.
A 30-year-old woman from Splendora was arrested at 9:25 a.m., July 15, in the 24900 block of FM 1314 by Deputy K. Pickerill for a theft by check warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy had been sent to the location for a theft call.
A 39-year-old woman from New Caney was arrested at 1:02 p.m., July 17. Deputy R. Layman met with a Cleveland P. D. officer who was detaining the female. The female had an outstanding warrant for Criminal Mischief out of Montgomery County.
A 19-year-old female from Conroe was arrested at 7:30 a.m., July 19, in the 17400 block of Bounds Road by Deputy J. Armstrong for an aggregated theft warrant (motion to revoke probation) out of Montgomery County. The Deputy had received information on the female's location. The female was on the fugitive warrant list.
A 33-year-old male from New Caney was arrested at 9:26 a.m., July 20, in the 24800 block of FM 1485 by Deputy C. Azwell for a possession of a controlled substance warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy had received information on the male's location.
District 4 - Lt. Art Galloway (West County)
Copper Wire Stolen
On July 16, Cpl. P. Smith was dispatched to Sweetwater in Decker Hills in reference to burglary of habitation (copper theft). Upon arrival at the scene, Cpl. Smith met with the complainant who provided information for the report. The complainant stated copper wire was cut at the power pole and cut from inside the house at the interior breaker box and stolen. It had just been replaced on July 15. The cost to replace approximately 250 feet of copper wire estimated at $1,500. This case has been referred to detectives.
Home Burglary
On July 16, Deputy N. Zavorski met with a complainant at the District 4 patrol office to take a report on a burglary of a habitation. The complainant provided information for the report and stated the approximate dollar loss at $1,015. This case has been referred to detectives for follow up.
Church Storage Building Broken Into
On July 17, Deputy N. Zavorski and Deputy T. Slusher were dispatched to a church on SH 249 in reference to a burglary of a building. Upon arrival, the deputies met with the complainant who stated that an unknown actor had entered the church's storage building and stolen several lawn equipment items and 2 quarts of motor oil. The estimated cost to replace is approximately $685. This case has been referred to detectives.
Copper Wire Theft
On July 17, Deputy A. Gurka was dispatched to a church on Dobbin Huffsmith in reference to theft of copper wire. Upon arrival, Dep. Gurka met with the complainant who stated that the pastor found the A/C units had been vandalized. Someone had cut the tubes that connect the A/Cs to the inside of the building. At the time of the report the cost to replace the copper & repair the A/Cs had not been determined. This case has been referred to detectives.
Items Stolen From Garage
On July 18, Deputy H. Suarez was dispatched to FM 1774 in reference to a burglary of a building. Upon arrival, Dep. Suarez met with the complainant who stated that someone had entered her unattached garage through an unlocked side door. The suspect removed various brass items (which were later found at a recycling center). Dep. Suarez took the report. He then went to the recycling center where he identified the items and took photos of them (for evidence purposes). The evidence was submitted to the crime lab in Conroe. The case was referred to the detectives for follow-up.
Truck Vandalized
On July 19, Deputy K. Krolczyk was dispatched to FM 1486 in reference to a criminal mischief call. Upon arrival, Dep. Krolczyk met with the complainant who stated that she had parked her truck on July 18 and gone inside her residence and gone to bed. On July 19, when she went to her vehicle she discovered it had been keyed or knifed starting at the passenger's side all the way across the tailgate. The damage to the paint involved right side quarter panel, doors, back quarter panel and tailgate. The complainant estimated $1,500 for repair work. Dep. Krolczyk took the report, and took photos of the damages to the vehicle. These photos will be submitted to the crime lab as evidence. This case has been referred to detectives.
Four-Wheeler Stolen
On July 19, Deputy K. Krolczyk was dispatched to Carolton in Magnolia in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, Dep. Krolczyk met with the complainant who stated that a four-wheeler, valued at $7,200, had been stolen from behind a small storage building which sits near his garage. Dep. Krolczyk took the report and referred the case to the auto theft task force.
Jewelry Stolen from Home
On July 20, Cpl. P. Smith was dispatched to Sweetwater St. in reference to a theft. Upon arrival, Cpl. Smith met with the complainant who stated that several items of jewelry had been stolen from his home. The complainant estimated the dollar amount of the stolen jewelry at $1,540. Cpl. Smith took the report and assigned a case number. He then referred this case to detectives.
District 5 - Lt. Don Lacy (Northwest County)
HOme Burglary/Jewelry Heist
On July 14, at 6:37 p.m. Deputy M. Jackson responded to a Burglary of a Habitation on Apache Drive. The complainant said that she had left for work at 8:45 a.m. on the that morning. She returned home at 6 p.m. the same day. When she walked up to her home she noticed someone had busted the glass out of her door. She went back to her car and called 911. The complainant said that it would cost $600 to repair the door and the suspect(s) stole over $18,650 worth of jewelry. This case will be forwarded to the Detective Division for follow up.
Rims Stolen
On July 14, at 9:23 a.m. Deputy R. Garlock responded to a Burglary of a Building in the 17100 block of Rabon Chapel Road. The complainant said he had left his business at 6:30 p.m. on July 11, and every thing was in order. He returned to work on July 14, at 7:30 a.m. And discovered that unknown suspect(s) had cut his fence and pried open a door to a building he used for storage. The suspect(s) stole five tires and rims valued at $2,000. The cost to repair the fence was listed at $50. Dep. Garlock recovered the tools the suspect(s) left at the scene. The tools were sent to the Montgomery County Crime Lab for processing. This case will be forwarded to the Detective Division for follow up.
Copper Wire Theft
On July 15, at 6:02 p.m. Deputy J. Enloe responded to a Theft of Copper call in the 6800 block of Longmire Road. The complainant said unknown suspect(s) came on his property and went to a vacant trailer home and stole 70 feet of copper wire that ran from the home underground to the electrical pole. The theft was committed over a two week period. The cost to replace the cooper wire was estimated at $1,250 by the complainant. This case will be forwarded to the Detective Division for follow up.
Man Arrested on Family Vionnce Charges
On July 17, at 10:12 p.m. Cpl. D. Wilkins responded to an Assault family Violence in the 3900 block of Aspen Drive. The Complainant and her husband (suspect) got into an argument. The suspect hit the complainant several times causing injury. The complainant said there has been un-reported domestic violence in their family for several years. The suspect took a knife from the kitchen and had left the scene before the Sheriff Deputies arrived. Cpl. Wilkins gave a description of the vehicle the suspect was driving. Deputy M. Jackson saw the vehicle and tried to stop it. The vehicle started fleeing from the deputies. The suspect went back to his house and was then arrested and placed in the Montgomery County Jail for Evading Arrest and Assault family Violence. His bond was set at $3,000.
Woman Arrested for Selling Pills
On July 20, at 3 p.m. Deputy J. Enloe made at traffic stop in the 16000 block of Hwy. 105 West. While talking to the driver (suspect) of the vehicle he saw in plain view an orange pill bottle with no label on it in the back seat of the vehicle. After getting permission to search the vehicle he found several pills which turned out to be hydrocodone a control substance. The suspect said she was selling them for $3.00 a piece. The suspect was arrested and placed in the Montgomery County Jail for Manufacturing and Delivery of a Control Substance. Bond was set at $1,500.
