Registration for Spring Programs Begins Dec. 8
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Online registration for the Community Associations Parks and Recreation Department’s spring programming begins Monday, December 8, and phone and in-person registration begins Monday, January 5, at The Woodlands Recreation Center, 5310 Research Forest Drive. New this year, there will be no online registration fees!
To register online, visit the Community Associations' Web site and click Register for Recreation Programs, located underneath the Hometown Spotlight. Spring programs begin the week of January 26, unless otherwise noted. The following are a few program highlights.
If outdoor adventure is what you crave, Camp Ter-Ra-Mont is just what you need! Camp out and enjoy the stars with your family without leaving The Woodlands. Food and all activities are included. The event will be held at Terramont Park beginning Saturday, March 28, and ending Sunday, March 29. Woodlands residents’ fee is $100 for a family of four. Additional family members are $25 each.
Don’t miss out on the triathlon training classes scheduled for the spring! Triathletes can gain a competitive edge for the CB&I TRI-The Woodlands triathlon on Saturday, May 2. Classes range from swim clinics to comprehensive training programs.
There are lots of preschool programs to choose from, like Sports Mania. This new class will give your child the opportunity to try soccer, T-ball, tennis and basketball! Youth Programs include such classes as Make-up for Teens, Kickball Tournament, Drill Team Prep and Shred (skateboarding).
And don’t forget about the free Concert-in-the-Park series held at Northshore Park. The spring series will be held every Sunday, 6 to 8 p.m., from March 22 to April 26. A complete listing of the spring concerts can be found in the Spring 2009 Action Guide.
