Amie Sun-Wright, M.D., PH.D. Joins Northwest Diagnostic Clinic

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Northwest Diagnostic Clinic with offices in The Woodlands and in the Cypress Station area of Houston is pleased to announce the association of Amie Sun-Wright, M.D., Ph.D.

“I am happy to join such an excellent team of physicians and am looking forward to seeing patients at Northwest Diagnostic Clinic,” said Dr. Sun-Wright. “My experience in the medical field has been both challenging and rewarding so far, and I am excited to continue practice in serving the Greater Houston community.”

Dr. Sun-Wright, a triathlon enthusiast, joins Northwest Diagnostic Clinic from the Methodist Hospitals of Dallas where she served as categorical resident in the Internal Medicine Department. Prior to that, she was an assistant instructor in the Department of Cellular and Structural Biology at the University of Texas Health Science Center - San Antonio.

Dr. Sun-Wright received her Doctor of Medicine from Texas Tech University School of Medicine. Prior to attending medical school, she received her Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She is board eligible in internal medicine.

Dr. Sun-Wright was elected Resident Representative of the South Texas Region for the Texas Association of Internal Medicine, and was awarded scholarships that included a student scholarship from the Texas Medical Association: Physician Oncology Education Program. She is fluent in English and Chinese and medically conversant in Spanish.

Northwest Diagnostic Clinic was founded in 1975 and its team of board certified physicians has been caring for families for more than 30 years. In addition to fourteen physicians and four physician assistants (PAs), Northwest Diagnostic Clinic offers a full staff of nurses, medical assistants, laboratory, imaging and administrative personnel to assist with patient care.

With offices in Houston and in The Woodlands, the clinic offers several areas of expertise including family practice, internal medicine, rheumatology and dermatology, as well as on-site ancillary services such as computerized tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, bone density testing, and infusion and laboratory services.
