Crabbydaddy's Crawfish Eating Tournament

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- CrabbyDaddy’s first ever Crawfish Eating Tournament on Sunday May 17, 2009 will feature crawfish boilers, live music, and two lines of heated competition. Hourly tournaments will be held from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. There will be three tournaments from 12 p.m. - 3 p.m. seeing who can eat the 3 ½ lbs the fastest. At 4 p.m. all the winners and runners up will face off to see who the real king of crawfish is.

The “Crawfish King Tournament” starts at 5 p.m. and the tournament will consist of who can eat the most crawfish in one hour. All winners will receive free crawfish, 2009 Crawfish Competition t-shirts, medals, a trophy for The Crawfish King, and tons of cash prizes.

All contestants will receive wristbands for special drink prices. According to the Food Eating Contests and Records Archive Chris Hendrix holds the world record for eating Crawfish. He ate 331 crawfish in 12 minutes. According to “Talk of The Town” with Tom Pace a guy in Shreveport, LA ate 5 lbs of crawfish in 3 minutes. People from all around Houston are waiting to reveal their love for crawfish as well as dozens of Louisiana locals ready to compete for what will become known as The Crawfish King.
