THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center, nestled in Grogan's Mill among the towering trees, is the first Texas hotel to launch a social networking station. The station, located in the lobby of the hotel, is complimentary for guests and gives them the opportunity to stay connected to Facebook and Twitter while they travel.

"There's a reason Facebook has over 200 million users," Kent Johnson, general manager of The Woodlands Resort, said. "People want to know what everyone else is doing, and more importantly, want to share their own day-to-day experiences."

Whether one is a business guest or just visiting for leisure, the resort expects travelers of all kinds to enjoy the networking station. Feel free to brag about your goft game, relish in a successful shopping trip or tell others about your successful business venture; all are possible with the new social networking station.

"It's not just teens lounging by the pool who are making updates and adding new tweets, but our business guests are doing the same," Johnson said. "We wanted to offer our guests an easy way to stay connected while they are away from home."
