3Star Inline Skating Rink Opens

SOUTH MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- 3star Inline, formerly JOPA sports, recently held its grand opening. The inline skating rink is located at 17951 I-45 South, Shenandoah, Texas 77385 (between Chuy’s and Sam Moon Center.)

Scott Tartaglia and Steve Szabo, who live in the Woodlands, and Steve Stalc, Hockey Program Director for 3star Inline, have been working extremely hard trying to repair and improve the functionality of the rink.

For nearly two years, Tartaglia and Szabo have been working on a future state-of-the-art, multi-purpose, year-round ice and inline skating facility. They've traveled across North America looking at hockey facilities and talking to rink owners and been in countless meetings with the city of Shenandoah, developing a great relationship with city leaders. Over the next couple of months the team plans on having “town hall” meetings with people in our community to discuss future rink plans.

3star Inline provides high quality programs and activities to teach and support the sport of inline roller hockey, and other skating related programs for people of all ages. Among the programs and special events offered are:

Hockey Programs
High School Varsity & Junior Varsity Division held March-August & September – February, Adult & Youth Hockey Leagues, January-December. Iron-Man (4 on 4) Tournament, August 8. AAU Hockey Events, dates to be announced. The above listings represent only the current scheduled events. 3star Inline expects to host other area tournaments and events as well as many private and corporate parties at the facility.

Every Wednesday night at 8 p.m. a loosely joined confederation of greybeards skating in the 50 and over division call 3star Inline their practice home while they prepare for the USA Hockey Inline Cup in Las Vegas and other random events.

Special Events
“Give it a Shot” Introduction to beginning to inline Youth Hockey: This program is designed for those kids that have an interest in inline hockey. No skating skills necessary. Students will be taught basic inline skating techniques, rules and will gain confidence on inline skates. Ages 7-12. $65/5 lessons.

Coffee Club: Wednesday & Friday 11:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m. $8.00 per session or purchase a 12 visit pass for $80.Adults only, Free skate rental, coffee and refreshments, All levels of skaters welcome!

Christian Music Skate: The first Monday of each Month, 4 p.m.-6 p.m., $7.00 includes admission and inline skates.

After School Extravaganza: A Family of four can have a great skate time on Tuesday after school from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. $25 includes admission, Skate rental and refreshments.

Rollers and Strollers: A special social time for preschoolers. Bring a riding toy, tricycle, or skates. Tuesdays 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. $7 includes admission, skates, and refreshment.

Birthday Parties
A two hour birthday party at 3star Inline includes admission & skate rental, private party room for 45 minutes, 1 Hour skate time including group lesson, party host or hostess, souvenir photo of your party, food & drinks and a goodie bag. $275

Daycare or Groups are always welcome during any open session in the afternoon with discounts for groups of 10 or more guests...call the rink for prices and times.

Fundraising - 50/50 Rebate Parties – Have your party at 3star Inline and take home 50% of your group’s admissions. 3star Inline makes the flyers – We sell the tickets – We pay you! Call the arena for questions and reservations.
