Nice Weather Makes for Great Art Weekend
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- October 19, 2009 -- Sunny skies and comfortable temperatures made for a great weekend in The Woodlands highlighted by two local art festivals on Saturday.
The Grogan's Mill Fall Arts & Craft Show was held in conjunction with the return of the Grogan's Mill Farmer's Market for the fall season. Exhibitor booths ranged from clothing and accessories to freshly made Kettle corn and pumpkins. The Farmer's Market will continue every Saturday through Dec. 12, rain or shine, from 8 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of the Grogan's Mill Shopping Center.
Over at Market Street, the rescheduled Fall Fine Arts Festival was held in Central Park. The festival included wood work, glass work, metal sculptures, paintings, accessories and ceramics. The Woodlands Art League also had an exhibit of works from local artists.
