Arts in the Park Spring Series Wraps up Saturday
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Arts in the Park, offered by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department, brings local artists and their wares to residents at Rob Fleming Park in the Village of Creekside Park each spring and fall on consecutive Saturdays. The last Arts in the Park this spring takes place Saturday, May 22, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. Seventeen artists will be selling everything from photography to jewelry to paintings.
This free event, which includes face-painting for the kids, allows the public to sit back, enjoy a variety of entertainment and shop to help promote local arts. Concessions will be available.
The Buck Yeager Band will also perform. With the release of their first single, “Deep in the West,” The Buck Yeager Band has received airplay on Houston’s, 92.9 KKBQ country radio station. They have also opened for many popular artists, including Django Walker, Robert Earl Keen, Jack Ingram and Bellamy Brothers.
Arts in the Park is presented by Liberty Mutual. The stage sponsor for the 2010 season is The Woodlands Development Company. The fall series is scheduled for September 11, 18 and 25, 2010. For more information on The Woodlands Township, please call 281 210-3800 or visit their Web site.
