Amendola Update

Danny Amendola, former All-State wide receiver for The Woodlands High School football team, was in the starting lineup on Thursday for the St. Louis Rams in their final preseason game.

Amendola caught one pass on the night, good for 36 yards. It was the longest gain from scrimmage in Thursday's 27-21 victory over the Baltimore Ravens at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis.

Heading into next week's 2010 season opener, a week from Sunday at home against the Arizona Cardinals, Amendola is listed on the team's depth chart as a starting wide receiver.

The 5-11, 186-pound Amendola racked up 326 yards and one touchdown on 43 pass receptions last year in his rookie season.
