THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The stars were shining bright during the “83.33” fundraising event held recently at Crescent Moon Wine Bar to benefit New Danville, a master-planned community for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Hosted by Crescent Moon Wine Bar and Shirelle and Brian Chimenti, and sponsored by CALPINE, the star-studded soiree encouraged guests to come dressed as their favorite celebrity, which added a whimsical fun element to the evening. The “celebrities” sighted included “Dolly Parton,” “Steve Martin,” “Twiggy,” “Willie Nelson,” “Audrey Hepburn,” “Frank Sinatra,” and “Paula Deen.”

Guests enjoyed dinner, dancing, and wine while Kathy Sanders, Founder and CEO of New Danville, who gave an informative giving campaign presentation about the benefits New Danville residents receive that are funded by donations.

“This is the second year that we’ve hosted an ‘83.33’ themed annual giving campaign,” explained Sanders. “That special number reflects the amount that an individual who pledges $1,000 would donate each month for one year. It has been a successful concept, and this year’s event was a lot of fun with fantastic costumes. Thanks to the generous sponsors, our guests had a great time. We were grateful that New Danville was so well supported with much needed funds for the continued development of the programs and activities offered within our one-of-a-kind community.”

The “83.33” Annual Giving Campaign event was co-chaired by Shirelle Chimenti and Stephanie Milstead, and the event committee included Kristin Baadsgaard, Gay Brown, Odettte D’Agostino, Nanci Day, Martha Haag, CJ Haynes, Barbara Hilton, Maryellyn Miller, Nan McShan, Natalie Noack, Sandra Novack, Dian Paur, Lorrie Petrauskas, Patty Rivela, Beth Stewart, and Melissa Young.
