Memorial Hermann awards $25,000 in scholarships to hospital volunteers

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The Auxiliary at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital recently held its Junior Volunteer Banquet to recognize graduating high school seniors and out-going officers. Each year, part of the funds raised by the MHTW Auxiliary through the Sweet Charity Gift Shop and sponsored special event sales is applied to the scholarship fund.

This year's graduating Junior Volunteers at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands represented: The Woodlands High School, College Park High School, Klein Oak High School, Klein Collins High School, Spring High School, and The Pace Home School program.

The following volunteers earned scholarships: Kelsey Adams ($4,000); Emily Lorson ($3,000); Shelia Jalaei-Berenji ($2,000); and $1,000 each was awarded to Tyrhonda Bradley, Joshua Caldera, Madison Cannon, Emily Dalak, Olivia Dunn, Annalisa Giannotti, Manasi Joshi, Anushka Kulkarni, Katya Lavoie, Brigette Jaramillo, Laura Mafla, Chamini Mahawawa, Aanchal Mittra, Ilana Munbayeva, Paulina Para and Kitty Xie.
