Robard's opening at The Woodlands's Resort, Oct. 20

THE WOODLANDS, Texas - The Howard Hughes Corporation® (NYSE: HHC) announced today Robard’ssm - an upscale, classic American steakhouse offering an extensive menu of USDA prime grade, dry-aged steaks and chops, seafood and chef-inspired specials - will open on October 20th. Located on the grounds of The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center, Robard’s will pay tribute to Howard Robard Hughes, Jr., a man who went after bold experiences and pursued perfection in his work. This pursuit for perfection will be represented in both the culinary offerings as well as the luxe details found in the restaurant’s design and decor.

“The perfect steak starts with the perfect cut,” said Executive Chef Sammy Holmes. “We start by preparing the USDA prime grade beef at our in-house butchery and smokehouse. We then utilize our signature dry-aging technique to preserve the best qualities of the beef. The result is a steak prepared to perfection, exact to order.”

Besides the perfect cuts of meat, Robard’s will also boast an interactive fresh seafood bar, a 1,100 bottle glassed-in wine cellar, local hand-picked craft beers on tap and an in-house bakery that crafts from-scratch breads, pastas, desserts and pastries.

Robard’s atmosphere will be cool and classic, reflecting the height of Howard Hughes’ filmmaking career in the 1930s with a nod to Prohibition era glamour and a touch of modern style and sophistication.

The main dining room at Robard’s will boast warm contemporary styling, a stunning 8-foot long raised fireplace framed in dark bronze metal, 14-foot windows and 20’ vaulted wood-beamed ceilings with custom chandeliers and skylights. Every table in the restaurant will have expansive views of the 18th green of the Panther Trail™ golf course.

The 60-foot titanium granite bar in Robard’s Lounge will feature a fresh seafood bar with an interactive experience for guests. Chefs will prepare seasonal seafood dishes upon order, including house specials such as Lobster Parfait with a Lemon, Avocado and Vodka Cream; Deviled Eggs and Caviar; Yucatan Shrimp with Lime Tomato Relish, Avocado and Sweet Chili Sauce; and a fresh seafood flight.

Two private rooms will be available for events and functions. The Legacy Room will seat 12 and boasts a unique community-style, bar height dining table made from reclaimed wine crates, a wall of windows and expansive views of the green. The Premiere Room will seat 30 and features white tablecloth seating in round, elegant red leather chairs and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the water features on the 18th green.

The restaurant will seat 128 indoors, and just outside Robard’s Lounge, guests will be able to dine and relax alfresco on the large outdoor patio with a stacked-stone firepit.

Although Robard’s is housed on the resort’s grounds, it will stand independently with its own drive and valet at 125 Autumnwood Way in The Woodlands. Robard’s Lounge will open at 4pm, Monday - Saturday, with daily social hour specials from 4pm to 6pm. The dining room will open from 5pm to 10pm Monday - Thursday and from 5pm to 11pm on Friday and Saturday. The restaurant and bar will be closed on Sunday.
