THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The College Park High School boys’ basketball team looks to continue its dominance in a new-look district while the Lady Cavaliers seek to begin a run of their own.

Following up an undefeated District 14-5A championship season will be a tough task for the Cavaliers, which finished 32-6 overall and 12-0 in league play. College Park joins The Woodlands, Oak Ridge and Conroe with Humble ISD schools, Kingwood, Atascocita and Summer Creek to form District 16-6A.

But a handful of returning players will attempt to carry on the tradition.

Senior guard Kyle Robertson leads the way after averaging 10 points per game over 33 games last season. Top rebounder Brett Reed returns after averaging eight boards and 2.5 blocked shots per contest in 2013-14. The senior forward combined with senior guard Chandler Morris for 11.5 points per game last season.

Junior guard McKinley Green will also play a role after scoring five points per game a season ago.

Head coach Clifton McNeely enters his 19th year in coaching and owns a career mark of 412-213. It’s a career that has included eight district championships, 14 playoff appearances and three regional tournament trips.

The Lady Cavaliers are building towards their first district title since 2010.

Senior post Claire Salander leads a group that includes seniors Jasmaine Dobbins, Devyn and Haley Fitzpatrick, Kaley Evans, Elaina Stribling, Amy Sanchez and Victoria Avance.
