Here's the local boys and girls basketball round-up action from Tuesday night:

Girls Basketball Round-Up

College Park 43 Summer Creek 35

The College Park Lady Cavs outscored Summer Creek 31-17 in the second half en route to a 43-35 district home win to close the 2014-15 season. The young Lady Cavs were led by Jasmine Atobajeun, who scored 10 points for College Park.

College Park closed the season with two straight wins and wins in three of the last five games to give Michelle Richardson and her Lady Cavs a strong building block for the 2015-16 season.

The Woodlands 54 Oak Ridge 37

Payton Walker scored a game-high 22 points as The Woodlands Lady Highlanders closed the regular season with a 54-37 home win over the Oak Ridge Lady War Eagles on Tuesday.

Oak Ridge got eight points each from Kelsey Scibek, Jamy Smith and Raven Peeples.

The Woodlands closes the regular season at 19-13 overall and has locked up the No. 3-seed in the playoffs from District 16-6A with a 9-3 district record. The Lady Highlanders will face Klein Collins in the Bi-District round of the playoffs next week.

Boys Basketball Round-Up

Summer Creek 63 College Park 59

College Park and Summer Creek were tied at 46-46 going into the fourth quarter, however the Cavaliers couldn’t pull out a much needed district win at Summer Creek on Tuesday.

The loss, combined with a victory by The Woodlands over Oak Ridge, eliminates the Cavaliers from playoff contention.

College Park (15-16, 4-6) will close the home schedule on Friday, February 13, versus Kingwood at 7pm.
