HOUSTON -- After a week to think about the letdown loss against Bryan, the Conroe Tigers took care of business quickly Saturday night on their way to an runaway 67-27 victory over a beleaguered Aldine squad.

Kizzie has big night for Tigers

“We’re definitely ready to move forward to the next week,” said Kizzie, Conroe’s junior quarterback who threw for nearly 300 yards on 12 of 18 passing. “We were upset after last week’s showing against Bryan, that is not who we are, it was good to come out tonight and show our fans who we are.”

The Tigers move to 2 and 1 on the season and will play an Aldine MacArthur team next week at home. The Generals are 0 and 3 on the season after a close loss to La Marque Friday night 19-18. MacArthur also has losses this season to Dickinson (61-7) and Montgomery (26-0).

Conroe’s head coach Robert Walker will not have the Tigers looking past week 4.

“We still have a lot of things we need to fix,” said Walker. “You don’t look a gift horse in the mouth with tonight, our next game is MacArthur. We dont look past our next game.”

The week 4 game will be played at Moorhead Stadium with a 7pm kickoff.
