J. Thompson Salons demonstrate their love for hair, skin, and the community

THE WOODLANDS, Texas — Many salons provide hair and skin care, but do they demonstrate they truly have a heart for it? Not only do the J. Thompson Salons share their love for what they do with the community, they encourage their customers to do so, too.

Their “Share the Love” campaign for Valentine’s Day raised funds for the Star of Hope Women & Family Emergency Center. Clients purchased hearts for twenty-five cents at each stylist’s station, and in no time, the salon was showered with love as hearts filled the walls. Over the past six years the J. Thompson Salons have raised almost $7,000 all in 25-cent increments!

“We have a special place in our hearts for the Star of Hope. We’ve been doing this annually for over six years,” said Guest Service Team Leader, Giselle Worley.

Apparently so, as demonstrated by the number of hearts that adorned the salon. During the Christmas holidays they collected toys for this same essential cause.

“Currently all our stylists are women, and many of them are moms. Their hearts go out to women with children who are less fortunate,” said Worley.

The business was founded by Brett and Jennifer Thompson because of their other passion—their love for hair and skin care. They opened their original salon eleven years ago in Humble, Texas, and their Woodlands salon five years ago on April 2011. Their salons are all-inclusive, offering the full buffet of salon expertise including trims and cuts, hair coloring, hair color correction, perms and straightening, updos and styling, waxing, and skin care. They’ve also launched their own product line, “JTS;” which is a wonderful line of skin and hair care products.

“Our climate-controlled products are especially popular because of the humidity in this area,” said Worley.

What differentiates J. Thompson Salons is their personalized service and attention to detail with each and every client. A consultation beforehand ensures a full understanding of the client’s vision according to Worley.
