“Betting on Courage” casino fundraiser to benefit Children’s Safe Harbor May 6

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas - Several generous sponsors along with a dedicated committee are preparing the final touches of Children’s Safe Harbor’s 10th annual dinner fundraiser themed “Betting on Courage” to be held on Friday, May 6 at 6 p.m. at The Woodlands Waterway Hotel and Convention Center at 1601 Lake Robbins Drive.

Children’s Safe Harbor’s mission is to protect and enhance the life of every child who has the courage to battle sexual or severe physical abuse. As a nationally-accredited nonprofit organization serving Montgomery, San Jacinto and Walker counties, it is part of a nationwide effort to heal the trauma of abuse and facilitate justice for children ages 2 through 17 and their families.

Children's Safe Harbor offers specialized services to traumatized children and their families on a centralized campus facility. Children are able to share their experiences of abuse through a unique narrative investigation process called a forensic interview. Specialized medical evaluations and weekly individual, family and group counseling services are all available at no cost to the child victims and their non-offending family members. Volunteers and prevention programming services are central to the mission of this children’s advocacy center.

The returning Champion Sponsors ($20,000) The Becker Family Foundation and C,B&I are joined this year by Anglia Homes. The returning Platinum Sponsor ($10,000) The Bakewell Family Charitable Fund holds that honor for the second consecutive year. The returning Gold Sponsors ($5,000) Greg & Robin Anderson Family, the Santini Family, Anadarko Petroleum Corp. and Arena Energy are joined this year by Berlin Heart, Inc. and Franzoni and Nelson, PLLC.

Leading this worthwhile charity fundraiser is Event Chair and Board of Directors Member Mary Neskora, who will be honored at the event for her years of volunteer service. Standing beside Mary is the extremely talented and dedicated Event Co-Chair and Board of Directors member Sally Toppe. Individual tickets are $150 per seat and sponsorships are available at various levels ranging from $1,000 up to $20,000.
