Woodlands Online summer service project for the benefit of Meals on Wheels

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Woodlands Online is hosting a food collection drive for Meals on Wheels Montgomery County's breakfast bags project. Our office will serve as the drop-off location for the items. The address for is 33300 Egypt Lane, Suite B500 and is open from 9 am until 5 pm on weekdays.

Donations will be accepted until July 29. On August 1st the Woodlands Online staff and interns will go to the Meals on Wheels location to assemble the final bags.

The breakfast bags will be comprised of the following:

• One 7.5 oz. can of Hormel corned beef hash
• Two 4 oz. cups of dole diced yellow peaches, 100% juice
• One 8.75 oz. can of DelMonte fresh cut whole kernel corn, no salt added
• One packet of Quaker instant oatmeal, original flavor
• Dairy Pure 2% reduced fat milk (one 32 fl. oz. carton for every 4 breakfast bags)
• One 10 fl. oz. bottle of Minute Maid Orange Juice

The breakfast bags will help provide a second meal to homebound seniors. Due to certain nutritional guidelines set by Meals on Wheels the donation list is very specific, we advise those donating to thoroughly check their donations before purchase and drop off. Watch our promotional video here.
