THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Nash Murray has recently taken the position of athletic director and head football coach at Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy in The Woodlands. He brings several years of private school coaching experience to Legacy Prep.

Legacy Prep is a University-Model School (UMS) comprised of grades pre-kindergarten through 12 th with 400 students. The school prepares students to be successful in college and life by providing a rigorous academic background that is rich in opportunities. Legacy Prep is a Christ-centered school that creates college-worthy, character witnesses for Christ.

“I am honored to be the Legacy Athletic Director and strive to make God look good through Legacy athletics,” stated Murray.

Born and raised in Texas, Murray enjoyed playing football, basketball, golf and competing in track and field. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served for 5 years and did a deployment to Sangin, Afghanistan with 3 rd Battalion 5 th Marines. While Murray was in the Marine Corps, he heard God’s calling to become a coach and mentor to youth.

According to Murray, “Legacy athletics aims to support the overall mission of Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy. We are dedicated to building and developing well-rounded athletes.”
