Woodlands Christian students to compete in Athen's Greece World Scholar's Cup

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Michael Singh, Cole Wilson, Maddie Ganley, Melissa Birdwell, Pierce McBride and Leigh Ann Williams, tenth grade students at The Woodlands Christian Academy, will travel to Athens, Greece later this summer to compete in the global round of the World Scholar’s Cup.

The competition features the Scholar’s Bowl, a fast paced game show type event, team debate, and the Scholar’s Challenge where students apply their knowledge across six different categories.

These students earned their place in the global round by competing against 48 teams from Texas and California in the Houston Round of the World Scholar’s Cup held in May at Ridge Point High School in Missouri City, Texas.
