The Woodlands, Texas - The Childbirth Center at Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital proudly welcomed the hospital’s first baby on June 26, 2017.

Jaxon Neal was born at 9:22 in the morning and weighed 8 lbs., 6 oz. and was 20 inches long.

The proud parents, Josh and Kristina Neal, were thrilled to be the first to deliver a baby in the brand new hospital.

“Everything was beyond our expectations,” said Kristina. “I told Josh yesterday, I feel bad for people who don’t have a baby here because the staff has been perfect. Every single staff member we have met has been kind, genuine and wonderful, and you can tell they truly care about you and our family.”

“After Kristina attended the hospital’s open house, she was able to put some faces to the people who would be caring for her and see the facility. She loved the facility and people and told me it was the greatest thing in the world,” Josh said smiling. “It actually lived up to the hype. As soon as we walked in, the facility was amazing; everybody has been so kind and generous.”

Debbie Sukin, CEO of Houston Methodist The Woodlands, presented Jaxon with a “First Baby” onesie, commemorating the special day.
