Junior League of The Woodlands appoints new members to Board of Directors

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Junior League of The Woodlands (JLTW) elected 10 accomplished individuals to serve on the 2017-2018 Junior League Board of Directors.

Laura Bomer, 2017-2018 President of Junior League of The Woodlands, announced the recent appointments of Jennifer Colerick, President-Elect, Linda Martens, Sustaining Advisor, Kathryne Pruitt, Communications VP, Tiffany Hustmyre, Community VP, Robyn Hicks, Finance VP, Allison Tinker, Membership VP, Kim Wende, Administrative Secretary, Katie Schonert, Treasurer/Finance Chair and Endira Hawkins, Advisory Planning / Bylaws Chair.

“These outstanding ladies were selected because of their long standing commitment to our community, passion for serving others and desire to fulfill the mission of ourleague,” said Bomer.

The new Junior League Board of Directors paid special thanks to outgoing Board Members Bobbi Jo Miller, Carol Durkee, Sarah Paul, Julie Sanchez, Angela Strong, Allison Judge, Jamie Hollis, and Kim Willing.

The new Board Members will bring years of service on various committees andexpertise in a wide variety of fields to the already seasoned Junior League Board.

Junior League of The Woodlands had a very successful 2016-2017 year. In May, JLTW welcomed 69 new members to its ranks, awarded over $80,000 in grants totaling over $225,000 in annual gifts and programming given back to the community, and honored many important and deserving members and projects.

This year, the new Board Members bring a new budget, fresh ideas and inspiration as the League gears up for another amazing year of service, training, and improvement.

Junior League of The Woodlands is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.

Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
