Shenandoah police arrest two suspects after early afternoon vehicle burglaries

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- At approximately 12:25 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, Shenandoah Police Sergeant Courtney Pullen noticed a suspicious rental vehicle drive onto the west frontage road of Interstate 45 from the Guadalajara Hacienda restaurant parking lot. Sergeant Pullen followed the vehicle and observed the vehicle’s driver speeding south towards The Woodlands Mall.

Sergeant Pullen was able to conduct a traffic stop near Timberloch and Interstate 45 where she then approached the violator vehicle. Sergeant Pullen detected the odor of marijuana and called for backup from Shenandoah Officer Eric Bauer as two males occupied the violator vehicle.

Sergeant Pullen then searched the vehicle and discovered that the two male occupants had just burglarized two patron vehicles parked at local restaurants in the Shenandoah area. Three briefcases containing expensive electronics and identifying information belonging to other persons were discovered by Sergeant Pullen located inside the violator vehicle. “It was clearly evident that the two suspects had been burglarizing vehicles due to the presence of evidentiary items discovered in the violator vehicle,” said Sergeant Pullen.

The briefcases and electronics were linked to two burglarized vehicles belonging to three restaurant patrons. The victims were located and unaware that their vehicles had been burglarized before being informed by Shenandoah Police. Other Shenandoah officers sought out the victims after searching for burglarized vehicles as local restaurants.

The two suspects arrested are from the Houston area and were identified as 30-year- old Raymond Dobbins and 29-year- old Terrence Hart. Both men are suspected of being criminal gang members. Both men are charged with Possession of Identifying Information, a Felony of the 3 rd Degree.

Shenandoah Chief of Police Raymond M. Shaw commends Sergeant Pullen on these two arrests. “We will be out looking for criminal activity this coming shopping season. If criminals are planning on spending their time committing crimes here, then they need to adjust their schedules to allow for extensive jail time also,” said Shaw.
