THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Woodforest Bank Stadium in Shenandoah may have a new name next year.

Conroe ISD has opened up bids to exclusively name the stadium as well as its neighboring natatorium.

Chief Financial Officer Darrin Rice said the current agreement with Woodforest Bank – which has been in place since 2008 – expires in August 2018.

"It's possible there will be a name change," Rice said. "We have opened it up and we're excited to see the possibilities."

The outdoor stadium -- home to The Woodlands High School Highlanders, The Woodlands College Park High School Cavaliers and the Oak Ridge High School War Eagles – seats more than 9,500.

Bidding ends Wednesday Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. Bids will be reviewed by the Conroe ISD board in January 2018.
