THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- It will be a day for sweet memories – and a few edible sweets – when The Woodlands Children’s Museum celebrates Mardi Gras on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018.

Activities, including an onsite parade that will take place throughout the party, are scheduled for 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at 4775 W. Panther Creek Drive, Suite 280.

“Mardi Gras is a celebration of life filled with music, culture and amazing food,” Angela Colton, executive director of the museum, said. “We’ve designed our party with all of those elements in mind, so parents and their little ones can make special Mardi Gras memories.”

At the museum Feb. 13, children can make jester hats and noisemakers to wear and use during the onsite parades, which will take place at 10:45 and 11:30 a.m., and 12:15 p.m.

Juggler Claude Sims of Houston, who has more than 30 years of experience as an entertainer, will perform at 11:15 a.m.

Visitors will be served king cake and bread pudding on their way out, courtesy of sponsors Schilleci’s New Orleans Kitchen and Lou Lou’s Beignets of The Woodlands.

The Woodlands Children’s Museum is recommended for ages 7 and under. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The Mardi Gras celebration is included in the museum’s regular admission, which is $6 for adults and children ages 1 and older.
