Ten Grouchy Houndhogs. Intrigued? This silly story introduces children to ten grumpy houndhogs and their journey toward warmer weather as winter ends. Take the kiddos to Storybook Theatre, 11 a.m. Friday Feb. 2 at The Woodlands Children's Museum to hear more. No reservation needed, and this event is free with the price of admission.

It's close to election time in Montgomery County, and The Whistle Stop Tour is a great way to get to know some of the candidates. Hosted by The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce, this event features speeches, lunch and a meet/greet with several candidates. The Whistle Stop Tour is slated to begin at 11 a.m. Friday Feb. 2 at Lone Star College, 5000 Research Forest Drive. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at www.WoodlandsChamber.org/WhistleStop.
