Stibbs & Co. welcomes new business-law attorneys to the firm

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Business law firm Stibbs & Co., P.C. added two new attorneys to its team in early 2018 to offer more services and better responsiveness to its growing roster of clients. The two new members of the firm come from different backgrounds and will serve in diverse roles at Stibbs & Co.

Walter G. Browning joined the firm on January 1. He brings 45 years of legal experience to the team and is well-versed in all aspects of corporate legal, governance, risk management, and compliance.

Prior to joining Stibbs & Co., Mr. Browning served as deputy general counsel for Chicago Bridge & Iron Company N.V. (CB&I), a top-10 international engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) public company. He brings international contract and transaction experience to the firm, having represented clients globally, including in the U.S., Canada, Central and South America, the Netherlands, U.K., Germany, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Japan, China, and Australia.

Associate attorney Veronica E. Montemayor became the newest attorney in Stibbs & Co.’s transactional law section after representing clients in a wide spectrum of transactional matters for a downtown Houston law firm. A dedicated and experienced attorney, Ms. Montemayor was recognized as a “Top Lawyer” in business law by Houstonia magazine in both 2016 and 2017 and brings an extensive background in business transactions and commercial litigation to the firm. Her experience in litigation allows her to identify potential issues in transactions that can be avoided, thereby reducing the risk of future litigation for her clients.
