THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Welcome to a new week, and this time, it's Spring Break. Here's a look at what's going on in The Woodlands.

Bluebonnets are a sure sign of spring, but the State flower of Texas only sticks around long enough for folks to take family/pet/bae/friend photos within a matter of weeks. Why not create an image that will last a lifetime? Join Painting With a Twist, 570 Sawdust Road, at 7 p.m. Tuesday March 13 for "Texas Bluebonnet Jar." You will paint a beautiful work of art, with help from instructors who bring knowledge and fun to your own canvas.

It's Spring Break. That means finding ways to keep the kiddos entertained, or just dealing with the fact you have to work when everyone else is off! Let it all out at Wine a Bit Wednesday, March 14 at GenuWine Tasting Room, 6503 FM 1488. $10 off every bottle of wine from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

The Houston Rockets have been on a serious winning streak. If your kiddo loves basketball, here's their chance to experience the best clinic out there. The Woodlands YMCA is hosting the 2018 Houston Rockets Spring Break clinic March 15-17 at its Shadowbend location, 6145 Shadowbend. Boys and girls ages 5-15 will receive expert instruction from the National Basketball Academy's highly trained coaching staff. For registration information, call 832-392-0749.

Irish dancers? Sounds like St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner. The Woodlands Children's Museum will bring this tradition to the spotlight with performances by an Irish dance team, and a few tricks by juggler Claude Sims March 16 and 17. Visit www.woodlandschildrensmuseum.org for more information.

Create the Luck of the Irish – and then eat it! Over the Top, 453 Sawdust Road Suite 102, is hosting a St. Patrick's Day cupcake workshop at 11 a.m. Saturday March 17. You'll learn tips and techniques in the fine art of icing and decorating with buttercream and fondant. Register at www.overthetopcakesupplies.com
