Kevin Brady surprises students with visit; announces nominations to military academies

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – U.S. Congressman Kevin Brady (R-The Woodlands) made a surprise visit to The Woodlands High School and College Park High School March 27 to share the news that he had nominated seven Conroe ISD students for U.S. military academies.

The students from the 8th District of Texas received certificates commemorating their nominations.

The Woodlands High School

• Quinn Binney, West Point
• Allen Doakes III, Air Force
• Blake Havern, West Point
• Ethan Mercado, West Point
• William Jackson Shearer, Air Force

The Woodlands College Park High School

• Nicholas Bracci, Naval Academy
• Bradley Pease, West Point

“These young leaders have accomplished something remarkable," Brady said. "They chose to engage in a competitive process, and due to their hard work and character, have a remarkable opportunity before them. I have no doubt each one will represent their family, their school and their community with honor, and make their country proud as well.”
