The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce to host annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon April 20

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce’s Community Relations Team will host its annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon to recognize nonprofit Chamber members and their dedicated volunteers on April 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Parish Event Center, located at 26777 Glen Loch Drive.

The Chamber encourages its nonprofit members to send a staff member along with a volunteer for a complimentary lunch with keynote speaker Gigi Woodruff, senior leadership development manager for the talent and knowledge management department at the YMCA of the USA.

“The Chamber’s Community Relations Team embraces and promotes the value of teamwork, community service and stewardship,” Cyndi Alvarado, vice president of membership, said. “As one of our core functions, The Chamber is dedicated to supporting charitable causes and through this luncheon, we have the opportunity to celebrate these organizations.”

The Chamber is pleased to announce Consolidated Communications returned as the underwriter for this year’s luncheon.

“Consolidated Communications has a longstanding tradition of giving back to the communities they serve. We are proud of our employees who generously give their time and talents to nonprofit organizations working to improve the quality of life in The Woodlands area, Lisa Brooks of Consolidated Communications, said. “We are happy to join The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce in recognizing our community’s devoted volunteers at the Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon.”

The Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon is created and produced by The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce Community Relations Team as a way to thank volunteers that support charitable causes.
