MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- New Danville announced staff leadership changes with the promotion of Randy Smyth to Operations Director and Nicole Garcia to Program Coordinator.

Smyth has been with New Danville for over three years. After leaving KBR as a technology manager, Smyth stopped into New Danville answering an ad for a bus driver. Smyth, looking for something to do while searching for a position in his field of expertise accepted the driver position on a temporary basis. According to Eva Aguirre, president and CEO of New Danville, said it was quickly identified that he had strong leadership and organizational skills.

Smyth was brought on board as New Danville’s facilities manager, which included all aspects of keeping a 42 acre ranch in good shape. Smyth has now been promoted to Operations Director responsible for ensuring all aspects of the facility run smoothly. This covers a varied range of duties from daily schedules to constructions projects.

Smyth studied at Lone Star College and lives with his wife, Jana, in Willis, Texas.

Nicole Garcia has been with New Danville for about a little over two years, has been promoted to Program Coordinator. Starting as the front office administered assistant, she quickly moved into the dual role of Spanish Instructor, and continuing as the program assistant.

Being promoted to program coordinator, Garcia is responsible for the day-to-day program curriculum, staffing and working closely with client families and new clients as they enter the program. Before joining the New Danville team, Garcia’s background was in auto insurance and dealerships. Garcia was the Marketing Rep for a dealership and was responsible for over 300 locations.

According to Aguirre, “Garcia has strong people skills as well as she understands the mission and direction of New Danville. She has been a terrific asset.”
