Important Notes

  • The suspect involved in the burglary of vehicles and garages in Shenandoah Valley has been identified and arrested. Shenandoah Police worked with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office patrol units and apprehended the suspect shortly after he committed similar crimes in Chateau Woods. Detectives interviewed the suspect and he gave a partial confession. During the confession he admitted that he was only targeting unsecured vehicles and garages. The suspect advised he did try to get in several other vehicles in the area, but they were locked. This clearly shows the importance of locking vehicles and all structures to limit criminal opportunity.
  • 2008-2014 Chevrolet and GMC ½ ton trucks and SUVs are being targeted for theft in the Houston Metro area. The thieves are very sophisticated and quick. If you own any of these vehicles being targeted, we strongly recommend purchasing an auxiliary steering wheel locking device. Factory security measures are being defeated. We also recommend auxiliary kill switches be added to these vehicles to slow the criminals down or force them to look at another vehicle.
