We all hear songs that make us shimmy, shake and relive the good old days. The JEM Dandy Band will perform the classics for Dance Night, 7 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. at the recreation center at Rob Fleming Park in Creekside Park. This is for adults 50 years and up. The fee is $7 at the door. Water, coffee and light snacks included.

Bring your BFF – Best Furry Friend – to Robard's Steakhouse for Yappy Hour, 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday Aug. 17. Nestled among the grounds of The Woodlands Resort, 2301 N. Millbend, gourmet treats await you and your four-legged companion.

The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce is the business hub of the community. Feel the force at the annual Chairman's Ball, a black-tie affair 6 p.m. – 11 p.m. Saturday Aug. 18 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel. This year's theme is "Star Wars: May the Force be with You and Beyond." The event will honor outgoing chairman Frank Holmes. Mix and mingle with some of our brightest business leaders!
