Woodforest Charitable Foundation donates more than $1.2 million to local charities

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Woodforest Charitable Foundation (WCF) team recently hit the road visiting more than 30 local charity partners in Montgomery and Harris Counties.

WCF is pleased to support various organizations which provide much needed services to our community including hunger relief, health and special needs, family crisis, and youth intervention.

The hunger relief charities included Humble Area Assistance Ministries, Houston Food Bank, Interfaith of The Woodlands, Meals on Wheels of Montgomery County, Montgomery County Food Bank.

The charities specializing in health and special needs included Bridgewood Farms, Children’s Miracle Network, Interfaith Community Clinic, Lone Star Family Health Center, Panther Creek Inspiration Ranch, Special Angels of The Woodlands, Texas Community New Alliance-New Danville, The Rose Mobile Mammogram and TOMAGWA Health Care.

Charity recipients serving families in crisis included Candlelighter’s, Compassion United, Emergency Ministries, Family Promise of Montgomery County, Family Promise of Lake Houston, Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Harris County, Helping a Hero, Hope Beyond Bridges, Interfaith of The Woodlands, Mission Northeast, Montgomery County Women’s Center, Northwest Area Assistance Ministries, Society of Samaritans, and The Salvation Army.

The youth intervention charities included Angel Reach, Assistance League of Montgomery County, Boy’s and Girl’s Country, CASA Child Advocates of Montgomery County, Children’s Safe Harbor, Interfaith of The Woodlands, Montgomery County Youth Services, North County YMCA, Tamina Community Center and Youth-Reach Houston.

The Foundation is creating a legacy of commitment to those in need, enriching lives and communities through dedicated leadership and faithful administration by providing funding to qualifying 501(c)(3) charities.
