THE WOODLANDS, Texas-- Cy-Fair is Ed Pustejovsky, the man the myth and the legend now. If a victory parade, or going undefeated 15-0 didn’t motivate the mass of Cy-Fair, then what will?

My guess is with 10 starters back, and 30 players in total returning to you’re Varsity roster that you should be good and full of all the motivation.

Senior Quarterback Brian Mellon is back, and from a humbling State Championship Title, he’s looking to rekindle last season, with his last football season at Cy-Fair and maybe a back to back championship? Couple other stars to watch out for in this game is Tre’von Mosley (Senior, Linebacker) is the key that starts the car, for the Bobcat defense, Cristian Richmond (Senior, Wide Receiver) who was number 4 on ESPN Top 10 play last season and son of coach Joe Pustejovsky (Junior, Defensive End). For The Woodlands Highlanders there looking to start the season with a bang, playing the defending champions is no joke. If you can beat 30 players that celebrated in AT&T Stadium with a State Championship, who can’t you beat?

Sophomore running back Breyton Gilford (Junior, Running Back) led the team with 628 yards and 15 touchdowns last year, he’s coming into this game with a chip on his shoulder and ready to show that he can be all that and more. The term all that in a bag of potato chips will be used to describe this one-man offensive wrecking machine. While balancing the offense, Casey Sunseri (Senior, Quarterback) will be the one calling the plays in the huddle, taking first-team snaps and at the helm for his senior year. Malik Johnson (Junior, Wide Receiver) is that one player, who if he was in a video game character he would have a circle with a star under him, a speedster and a route burner. Malik Johnson and Breyton Gilford should be on everyone’s list this year highlighted and circled, If you don’t watch Johnson or Gilford closely with you’re peripheral, there will 6 on the board for the Highlanders.
