MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- On Thursday, October 4, it was “ladies night out” at Big Sky Barn in Montgomery.

Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital hosted Positively Pink, a free, educational event highlighting its comprehensive care for breast health.

A team of six breast care specialists answered questions about the comprehensive services available at Houston Methodist Breast Care Center and Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital. The hospital also shared a video featuring four breast cancer survivors who shared the experiences they had while receiving care on The Woodlands campus.

Houston Methodist The Woodlands was proud to recognize Entergy Texas, Inc. for supporting Positively Pink.

“We were pleased to announce our partnership with Entergy Texas,” said Trent Fulin, vice president of Operations at Houston Methodist The Woodlands and emcee of the Positively Pink fashion show. “Their support allowed us to enhance what we offered at the event and educate more women about the importance of early breast cancer detection, which is our ultimate goal.”

“With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Positively Pink was the perfect event to emphasize the importance of getting regular exams and early detection,” said Sallie Rainer, president and CEO of Entergy Texas, Inc. “Just as Entergy powers life for our customers every day, we are proud to support a group that does so much to help the lives of our families, co-workers, friends and neighbors.”

Following the educational presentation, guests enjoyed a fashion show provided by three locally-owned boutiques in Montgomery County – Bella Grace Boutique, Hello Beautiful Boutique and The Rancher’s Daughter. The retail stores also set up shop outside the barn, providing an on-site boutique shopping experience.
