The Woodlands, TEXAS -- The Woodlands Township will host the 3R Bazaar at its new location, The Woodlands Farmer’s Market at Grogan’s Mill at 7 Switchbud Place, on Saturday, November 10, 2018, from 8 a.m. to noon. Celebrate America Recycles Day with this free family event that offers free recycling, shopping with local artists who feature recycled materials and green activities for the whole family.

To promote recycling beyond curbside service, attendees are asked to bring used batteries (Alkaline AA, AAA, C, D and 9V), eyeglasses, textiles and oral care products for recycling. Residents can earn scholarship money for their village by bringing alkaline batteries for the Village Recycling Challenge. The event will also include secure on-site document shredding for a donation of five cans of food or $5 per box. All proceeds benefit Interfaith Food Pantry.

Attendees can also shop for unique and trendy items made from recycled materials at the Buy Recycled Boutique, an annual trunk show hosted by The Woodlands G.R.E.E.N. From high tech to handcrafted, everything at the Buy Recycled Boutique has a story. Exclusive 3R Bazaar reusable bags will also be provided, courtesy of Gullo Dealerships.

Children are invited to participate in arts, crafts and games promoting environmental stewardship and recycling education. Renowned eco-impressionist Grant Manier will demonstrate his process of creating “coolages” out of recycled materials. The Woodlands Children’s Museum will offer demonstrations and activities about how to turn trash into treasure.
