THE WOODLANDS, Texas – From live music to inspirational speakers, and stargazing to stopping crime – there's a lot going on this week in The Woodlands. If you're looking for more Halloween-related hijinks, please check out our Halloween Guide.

Multi-County Crime Stoppers is hosting its Fall Golf Classic "Puttin an End to Crime" Monday Oct. 29 at The Woodland Country Club. It's not too late to sign up here.

Registration is at 10:00 a.m. with a shotgun start at noon. Lunch and dinner included.

Multi-County Crime Stoppers serves Montgomery, Liberty and San Jacinto Counties, and provides a weekly release featuring felons with warrants out for their arrest.

Halloween isn't just for kids. If you're an adult, or just a big kid at heart, head to GenuWine at 7 p.m. Wednesday Oct. 31 for some Motown music with Louis Lamb & The Gentle Lamb Experience. There will be prizes for best costumes, so bring out your best Witchy Woman or Dracula! Live music, boutique wines, craft beers and fabulous food … it's sure to be a thriller. The Woodlands North Houston Conference for Women, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Thursday Nov. 1 at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott, helps businesswomen elevate their leadership skills while providing networking opportunities like no other. Even better, guest speakers include area women who are making their mark in the business world. Amy Milstead of Milstead Automotive will receive a Trailblazer Award, as will Dr. Ann Snyder of The Woodlands Township and Rebecca Riley of Lone Star College-Montgomery, amongst several others. Conference co-chairs are Michell Riley-Brown of Texas Children's Hospital The Woodlands and Debbie Sukin of Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital.

Now that Halloween is behind us, it's time to start thinking about Thanksgiving and Christmas. Picket Fences has all kinds of decorating ideas. Join them from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Friday Nov. 2 or Saturday Nov. 3 for a Holiday Open House. The event includes decorating demonstrations, door prizes, jewelry trunk show, gift card drawing – and the first 100 guests will receive a free ornament. Special guest is local artist Roxanne Spradlin, who will be there Friday Nov. 2.

The weather couldn't be better this time of year in south Texas for an evening of stargazing. Meet in the lobby at The Woodlands Resort for this free, family-friendly event from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Saturday Nov. 3. Experience a laser tour of the constellations and observe the friendly skies with telescopes provided by the Resort.
