VEL Institute to Host 2nd Annual Legacy Awards Dinner

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The VEL Institute, a non-profit founded in 2014 to provide a platform for collaborative learning among local Veterans, Entrepreneurs and Leaders is wrapping up its fifth year of training with a community-wide event. The VEL Legacy Awards is open to the public and is designed to celebrate and honor our community veterans, entrepreneurs and leaders.

On Saturday, November 10 from 5:30-8:30pm, VEL will host the Legacy Awards at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites Houston-North Spring Area, located at 24888 I-45 North in The Woodlands.

The event will include a silent auction, Judge Wayne Mack as the keynote speaker, the presentation of two VEL Institute Legacy Awards. VEL will recognize Jack McClanahan & Steve McKinney for their significant efforts in community leadership and philanthropy. Keith Garvin, Emmy Award winning anchor and reporter from KPRC channel 2 news, will serve as Master of Ceremonies.

J.P. Lane and Bryan Followell will ensure the night is one of the most patriotic celebrations held in The Woodlands with live music. Food will be catered by Johnny's Italian Steakhouse. Limited seating and sponsorships available by visiting www.velinstitute.org/legacy-awards-dinner.

The Legacy Awards will be held the night before Veterans Day and is a gathering that encourages future Veterans, Entrepreneurs and Leaders to live purposefully and impactful. VEL was established by Veterans who have a desire to serve the community and continue to give back with the idea of supporting a purpose greater than themselves. VEL is a platform where like-minded individuals can learn from each other and develop together.
