Conroe, Texas – Join in the holiday cheer at the Conroe Art League’s (CAL) 4th Annual Christmas Art Show. The event will be held at The Gallery in the Madeley Building beginning November 27 and continuing through December 31, 2108. The month long show and sale features a collection of affordable, original artwork by CAL members and a special feature wall highlighting art with a winter theme.

With the success of last year’s show, the league has elected to continue the theme Christmas is for Giving. The opening party for the free event is set for December 1st from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will include live music and appetizers. The Gallery and the courtyard will be decorated with the Christmas spirit and there may even be a special surprise appearance by an bearded man in a red suit.

“The event, Christmas is for Giving, is planned in coordination with Homestead House Furniture and the local Salvation Army to benefit the non-profit Toys 4 Kidz,” states Carol Berger, show co-ordinator. “Everyone is invited to attend the opening and shop our gallery throughout the month for that one-of-a-kind gift for the extra special people on your list,” Berger adds.

Conroe Art League is a nonprofit organization of vibrant artists and art lovers. Just seven local artists started the Art League in 1963. Today membership has reached over 300. Art education is a top priority for CAL and on-going classes are held in the gallery in many mediums. The mission of the League is to encourage artistic development and cultivate an appreciation for the visual arts through education, exhibitions, and community outreach.
