Update: Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Investigating Double Shooting in Spring, Tx that leaves two dead

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- UPDATE: After further investigation, Montgomery County Sheriff's Detectives determined that the deceased black male shot the white female twice and then turned the gun on himself. Based on the investigation by the Detectives, no other suspect involved. The identity of both deceased are still not available at this time.

On November 16, 2018 at about 10:49 PM Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a shooting at the Dakota Canyon Apartment Complex located at 25650 Interstate 45 North, Spring, Texas. The caller stated they heard three gunshots and saw multiple people on the ground. Montgomery County Deputies arrived on scene and located two deceased victims with apparent gunshot wounds to the head. One victim was a white female in her mid-twenties and the other was a black male in his mid-twenties. Deputies interviewed a witness who believed they saw a third individual leaving the scene, but at this time detectives cannot confirm a third party was involved. There is no reason to believe there is currently a threat to the public. Homicide/Violent Crimes Detectives, District Attorney’s Office, Texas Rangers and Crime Scene Investigator are on scene and continue to investigate. Identities of the deceased will be released pending notification of next of kin.
