Five football teams advance to area playoffs - CFISD

CYPRESS, Texas -- Five CFISD football teams won their bi-district playoff games Nov. 16-17 to advance to the area playoffs Nov. 23-24.

In the Class 6A Division I playoff bracket, both Cy-Fair and Jersey Village high schools won their Region III matchups to advance:




Cy-Fair defeated Lamar, 42-21, on Nov. 16 at Delmar Stadium. The Bobcats advance to face Ridge Point High School on Nov. 23 at 3 p.m. at Rhodes Stadium (1733 Katyland Dr.) in Katy; and




Jersey Village beat Chavez, 56-12, on Nov. 16 at Pridgeon Stadium. The Falcons will meet Katy on Nov. 23 at 1 p.m. at Legacy Stadium (1830 Katyland Dr.) in Katy.


Both the Cypress Woods Wildcats and Langham Creek Lobos ended their seasons as Division I Region II-6A bi-district finalists following losses to Round Rock (56-49) on Nov. 17 and Cedar Ridge (21-15) on Nov. 16, respectively.

In the Class 6A Division II bracket, Cypress Ranch, Cypress Falls and Cypress Creek high schools all won their bi-district games to advance to area:




Cypress Ranch beat Pflugerville Hendrickson, 24-10, in a Region II matchup on Nov. 16 at Cy-Fair FCU Stadium. The Mustangs will face Westfield on Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. at Thorne Stadium (1865 Aldine Bender Road) in Aldine;




Cypress Falls eliminated Westside, 40-14, in a Region III matchup on Nov. 17 at Pridgeon Stadium. The Golden Eagles will meet Katy Tompkins on Nov. 24 at 1 p.m. at Pridgeon Stadium (11355 Falcon Road); and




Cypress Creek beat Houston Heights, 34-7, in a Region III contest on Nov. 17 at Delmar Stadium. The Cougars will face Katy Taylor on Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. at Legacy Stadium in Katy.

Pre-sale tickets will be $7 for adults and $5 for students. All tickets sold at the gate will be $10 apiece.




Tickets may be purchased online beginning on Monday, Nov. 19 at 8 a.m. at www.cy-fairtix.com.




Tickets will also be on sale at the Cy-Fair campus in the multipurpose gym (next to Parking Lot C, near the tennis courts) on Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 20 and 21, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. (cash and credit card accepted).


Jersey Village High School




Pre-sale tickets will be $7 for adults and $5 for students. All tickets sold at the gate will be $10 apiece.




Tickets may be purchased online beginning on Monday, Nov. 19 at 8 a.m. at www.cy-fairtix.com.




Tickets will be on sale at the Jersey Village campus on main street right outside of the performance gym on Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. (cash and credit card accepted).


Cypress Ranch High School




Pre-sale tickets will be $7 for adults and $5 for students. All tickets sold at the gate will be $10 apiece.




No online tickets will be sold for this game.




Tickets will be on sale at the Cypress Ranch campus in the performance gym lobby on Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (cash and credit card accepted).


Cypress Falls High School




Pre-sale tickets will be $7 for adults and $5 for students. All tickets sold at the gate will be $10 apiece.




Existing season ticket holders can renew their existing season ticket seats online at www.cy-fairtix.com beginning on Monday, Nov. 19 at 8 a.m. through Tuesday, Nov. 20 at midnight. All season tickets that are not repurchased will be released to the general public on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 8 a.m.




General admission tickets will be on sale at the Cypress Falls campus in the athletic secretaries’ office that can be accessed utilizing the back doors of the campus in the athletic area on Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 19-20 from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. Due to the renewing of season ticket holders’ reserved tickets taking place at this time, only general admission tickets will be on sale on campus Monday and Tuesday.




Beginning on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 8 a.m., all unsold reserved tickets will be available for on-line sale at www.cy-fairtix.com.


Cypress Creek High School




Pre-sale tickets will be $7 for adults and $5 for students. All tickets sold at the gate will be $10 apiece.




Tickets may be purchased online beginning on Monday, Nov. 19 at 8 a.m. at www.cy-fairtix.com.




Tickets will also be on sale at the Cypress Creek campus in the athletic office that can be accessed utilizing the doors to the gyms and athletic areas at the back of the school. The athletic office is off of main street and signage will help direct you to the office. Tickets will be sold on campus on Monday, Nov. 19 from noon to 2 p.m. and on Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 9 to 11 a.m. (cash and credit card accepted).


Tickets for all of the area-round playoff games will also be available for purchase at the CFISD athletic office at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road, entrance 2) on Monday, Nov. 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
