THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Weather forecasts strong to severe storms expected to move across Southeast Texas beginning Friday afternoon through Saturday morning. The National Weather Service predicts that Montgomery County will receive rainfall amounts between 3 to 5 inches. This cold front is slow moving and could produce rainfall amounts of 10 to 11 inches in some areas. There is also evidence that this system could produce isolated tornadoes.

During these storms street flooding is probable. The widespread rainfall will likely lead to abundant runoff causing river and bayou flooding with moderate river flooding possible.

Turn Around, Don’t Drown. Significant travel impacts are possible as some roadways may become impassable.
