Montgomery County Rainfall Totals and River Forecasts

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- As predicted Friday night’s cold front produced heavy downpours, caused street flooding and our rivers and creeks to swell. Montgomery County received rainfall amounts between 3-5.62 inches.



Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, Elected Officials, and partners continue to monitor the rivers and creeks. At this time a river flood warning remains in effect for Peach Creek, and the West Fork of the San Jacinto River near Humble.



• Peach Creek near Splendora is currently at 13.2 feet and is expected to crest at moderate flood stage at 16.2 feet Sunday 3 AM.

• The West Fork San Jacinto in Humble- Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast. Flood stage is 49.3 feet. The river will continue rising to near 53.9 feet and will crest after midnight tomorrow then begin falling.

It is predicted that Lake Creek above The Woodlands will crest in minor flood stage at 139.9 feet, on Sunday December 9 around 9:00AM.
