There's a lot to look forward to in 2019, but for now, let's concentrate on what's happening This Week in The Woodlands.

The colder weather has been a good thing for The Woodlands Resort as they invite you to the 2019 Polar Bear Plunge. Test the waters in its current chilly state in the Lazy River and Waterpark, and then warm up in the heated pool. Mimosas, Bloody Mary's, Screwdrivers and breakfast tacos available for purchase. Check it out 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 1.

The Woodlands Children's Museum welcomes one of the most beloved Disney characters of all time: Olaf. Meet and greet the adorable snowman from Frozen at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. or 1:30 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 2.

Feeling salty after a hectic holiday season? Turn it into something positive as you get your Zen on while breathing in the anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and natural healing qualities of pure salt 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Friday Jan. 4 at Salt Remedy's yoga class.

As much as people love holiday music, it seriously gets on my nerves after a couple of weeks and I'm ready for something different. If this sounds like you, head to GenuWine 7:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Saturday Jan. 5 for the Louis Lamb Gentle Lamb Experience. Enjoy craft beer and fine wine while listening to blues, country, jazz and ballads.

Sunday brunch is a thing, and The Woodlands has no shortage of amazing restaurants offering a wide variety of options including Robard's Steakhouse, Morton's Grille, Landry's Seafood, Avenida Brazil, Dosey Doe, Brio Tuscan Grille and more. How about this for a New Year's resolution – rotate and visit one each Sunday beginning Jan. 6. Let's call it … Savory Sundays? Beautiful Brunch? Friendly Feast? Whatever you term it, the point is to chillax before the start of a new week. Click here for to visit the Woodlands Online brunch calendar.
