What began as mobile-based hobby for Houston entrepreneur, Ryan Terry, has quickly grown into an exciting new retail franchise concept for the former NFL running back and his business partner Steve Eckerman. Since launching REACH Stretch Studios https://reachstretch.com/ – formerly The Stretch Factor – in 2015 and debuting an inaugural brick and mortar location in Katy’s Cinco Ranch in 2016 followed by Memorial City in 2017 and Sugar Land’s Lake Pointe Town Center in late 2018, the specialized experience for all ages and fitness levels – featuring no impact and immediate results – is now poised for rapid expansion around the Bayou City and beyond.

In addition to unveiling a storefront in The Woodlands (1900 Lake Woodlands Drive) earlier this month and preparing for Rice Village (2524 Rice Blvd.) to open in February 2019, the burgeoning brand has signed a new Greater Houston franchise partnership with commercial real estate veterans Richard Buxbaum, a Principal with RADIUS Realty Advisors, and Capital Retail Properties Managing Partner Eric Walker. Following Rice Village, REACH Stretch Studios has 10 expansion sites planned for the Houston area.

According to Edris Yousefi, the Senior Director of REACH Stretch Studios Franchising LLC, “Having the expertise and engagement of Richard and Eric gives us an incredible advantage in growing REACH Stretch Studios both from an operational and market access standpoint.”

The franchise duo are friends who have worked together in various capacities for more than a decade. Buxbaum shares a dual career as real estate broker/developer and Sport Clips Haircuts franchisee Team Leader with five locations, while Walker is an award-winning specialist in the development, marketing and disposition of anchored shopping centers.

“Richard and I have kicked around the idea of doing something more formal together for years, specifically a retail franchise, and as the two of us began discussing REACH Stretch Studios and our respect for their leadership, we knew this would be a home run,” said Walker. “The wide appeal and quality of the concept was also incredibly attractive to us in our roles and exposure to prime sites throughout the city where we can be nimble in finding targeted homes for future studios.”

Focused on services ranging from rejuvenation to regeneration, the membership based, spa-like locations differentiate themselves in the category with a complimentary first session, private rooms, personalized therapies utilizing technology and performance, plus perks such as advanced hydration, hot towel treatments and neck stretches.

Conceived as a way for clients to attain peak performance and fitness levels, plus find relief from pain and stress, while minimizing old injuries and preventing new ones, REACH benefits also include increased blood flow, flexibility and joint health.
