THE WOODLANDS, Texas – There is no shortage of fun and exciting events happening in and around The Woodlands this week. Here are just a few.

On Monday, January 21, The Woodlands Area YMCA will be hosting service events to celebrate the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service. You're invited to join the YMCA as they partner with the Montgomery County Food Bank to sort food that will help families in The Woodlands and surrounding communities. Event link.

On Wednesday, January 23 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, join Dr. Mila McManus of The Woodlands Institute of Health and Wellness during your lunch break and learn what they can do for you. RSVPs are recommended and lunch will be provided if you do so. The next meeting will be on February 13. Event link.

On Thursday, January 24, join the Houston Astros as the Caravan Jam comes to Waterway Square in The Woodlands. There will be live music, food trucks, inflatables, face painters and more! Not to mention, a few Astros players will be in attendance. Tyler White and Brady Rodgers will make a 30-minute appearance and will participate in a Q&A. They'll even take on some fans in fun and interactive games. Astros Broadcaster Steve Sparks will also be in attendance. This is a free event. Event link.

On Friday, January 25, Dosey Doe welcomes the Blue Water Highway Band to The Big Barn. The Blue Water Highway Band began touring in 2015 as a live band, built on a signature 3-part harmony, musicianship and great music. They're always exploring new musical landscapes and sounds, true to their roots along the Blue Water Highway in Texas. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show begins at 8:30pm. Tickets start at $18.00 and dinner will be served between 6:30pm and 8:30pm. Event link.

On Saturday, January 26, The Woodlands Township and The Howard Hughes Corporation will host The Woodlands Arbor Day Tree Pickup. Started in 1977, the developer has given away 1.5 million tree seedlings. This year, over 44,000 tree seedlings will be given away, representing nine varieties, including: Bald Cypress, Laurel Oak, Live Oak, Loblolly Pine, Overcup Oak, River Birch, Sawtooth Oak, Silky Dogwood and Water Oak.
