Auction of a Lifetime Showcases Global Collection Valentine’s Week

HOUSTON, Texas -- Gallery Auctions, Inc., is pleased to announce a grand auction open to the public on Saturday, February 16, 2019, showcasing the lifetime collection from Harrison’s Fine Antiques & Art. “This is a true collector’s opportunity to bid on thousands of items including 19th century Asian furniture, marine antiques and scientific instruments, Chinese and Japanese porcelains, vintage pair of bronze Foo dogs, and a Hollenberg Orchestrion,” said Gallery Auctions owner and auctioneer Vikki Vines.

Expect a full house of buyers with fast and furious bidding led by veteran auctioneer Vines who promises appetizers, a bar, and plenty of parking. “For first picks, come for the preview days. It’s an extraordinary opportunity to buy rare and unique pieces at auction prices,” she said.

Among the 18th and 19th century European and American furniture will be a three-piece bedroom suite in walnut; a 19th century bronze table top vitrine with Sevres plaques; a 35-inch-tall gilded French clock, and American pop art including a signed George Rodrigue (Blue Dog). Mark Harrison, founder of Harrison’s Fine Antiques & Art, is well known for his large and exclusive collection of fine antique furniture, art, and premium collectibles. “Everyone is welcome,” says Vines. “Our auction house is a great adventure for people who care about the ambiance of their home or office.” The preview takes place Thursday and Friday, February 14-15, 9 AM-4 PM. Absentee and phone bidding are accepted but there will be no online bidding. Email or call early for condition reports and place all absentee bids by 4 PM Friday, February 14.
