Southbound Lanes of I-45 at Rayford/Sawdust Road to be Closed This Weekend

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- For the next round of work, there will be a total closure of the southbound lanes of I-45 scheduled for 9 PM, Friday, January 25 to 5 AM, Monday, January 28, pending favorable weather conditions. The construction is dependent on weather, and the schedule could change.

Similar to the northbound closure, drivers using the southbound I-45 lanes from evening Jan. 25 through the early morning of Jan. 28 will need to exit the interstate at the Rayford/Sawdust roads exit, drive southbound on the feeder road, and re-enter the interstate at the on-ramp about a half mile south of Sawdust Road. The u-turn lanes underneath the overpass will also be closed during the construction project.

Find alternate routes and/or plan enough time to make it to your destination. This will be a major closure and Drivers are urged to use alternate routes to get to their destination.
