City of Shenandoah Police Calls and Activity



Criminal Mischief – 18300 block of IH45 – Forced entry made to a Ford F-250. The vehicle’s door lock was punched and it was likely an attempted burglary of a motor vehicle (BMV).
Hit and Run Accident – 18000 block of IH45 – Unknown suspect hit the victim's vehicle and fled the scene. A license plate number was obtained and this case is currently under investigation.
Burglary of Vehicle – 19100 block of IH45 - Forced entry made to a Ford F-250. The vehicle’s door lock was punched and a handgun was stolen.
Burglary of Vehicle – 18300 block of IH45 - Forced entry made to a Nissan Frontier. The vehicle’s door lock was punched and police gear was stolen.
Burglary of Vehicle – 18300 block of IH45 - Forced entry made to a Ford F-250. The vehicle’s door lock was punched and a handgun was stolen.
Theft – 19100 block of IH45 - Unknown suspect selected items in the store and attempted to return them for cash credit. When the cash credit was denied the suspect fled the store with approximately $100 worth of merchandise.
Burglary of Vehicle – 18300 block of IH45 - Forced entry made to a Ford F-150. The vehicle’s door lock was punched and $15 worth of property was stolen.
Found Property – 28000 block of IH45 – Reportee found a handgun and turned it in to the police.
Damaged Property – 19000 block of IH45 – Two individuals were wrestling outside a local establishment. One of the parties was pushed into a window which caused it to shatter. Both parties agreed to pay for the damaged window.
Evading Detention – Residential – Officers attempted to detain a suspect while investigating a disturbance call. The suspect attempted to leave the scene in a vehicle and was arrested.
Burglary of Vehicle – 18300 block of IH45 - Forced entry made to a Nissan Frontier. The vehicle’s door lock was punched and police gear was stolen.
Theft of Service – 1400 block of Research Forest – Portable grill stolen for an alley way of a local restaurant.
Burglary of Vehicle – 18100 block of IH45 - Forced entry made to a Hyundai Elantra. The front passenger window was busted and cash was stolen.
Theft – 18400 block of IH45 – A tailgate was stolen from a Ford F-250.
Driving While Intoxicated / Narcotics – A traffic stop led to the arrest of the driver for DWI and possession of a controlled substance.

Significant Outside Agency Calls

Shooting – 2100 block of Buchthorne – This call went out as an active shooter and SHPD did assist in safely evacuating a multi-story office building. This case is still under investigation by the MCSO and Texas Rangers.
Shooting – Rayford Road area – Victim showed up at Memorial Hermann with a gunshot to the knee. Shooting occurred outside of Shenandoah so no details are available.
Shooting – IH45 @ Rayford – A group of males got into an altercation; one of them pulled a handgun and shots were fired. At least one victim was hit.
Aggravated Robbery – 300 block of Sawdust – 2 males robbed a local restaurant, at gun point.
Numerous BMVs and tailgate thefts reported in the City of Conroe and S. Montgomery County. It appears that suspects are targeting trucks and stealing handguns. With the increase in gun crimes we are asking everyone to secure their handguns in order to keep them out of the hands of criminals, PLEASE.
